The previous four modules focused on information about the environment and the people
living in it. The lives of Amazonian Indiana are not a very easy, but modern industrialization of the
region makes it even more complicated. Land development poses a threat to indigenous peoples, as it
results in the destruction of forests and rivers, shattering the very core of the Indians’ existence. This
module is devoted to these threats.
This module consists of a presentation with a voice-over as well as several movie-clips. The
latter were made by NGOs that defend the rights of indigenous peoples. The references for the clips
are included in the voice-over. There also is a pdf file with the video script attached to this module .
